Our second exhibition about Warrington in the Great War of 1914-1918 looks at life on the Home Front. As Warrington’s men were away fighting in the trenches of the Western Front or other theatres of war find out what was life like back home. Munitions girls; nurses, aid workers, conscientious objectors and the women left behind fighting on the kitchen front all had their part to play in the story of these tumultuous years.
